Christina? Who's she?

I love to build + explore the world of philosphy and science.

A little more about me...

I’m that student with doodles on the margins of her work; probably thinking about the latest article she read this morning, and casually asks questions about the universe. I mean our world is so damn cool! From the very start, we loved to explore and be curious… especially as babies. Babies pick things up, bite them, and throws them. If I did that with my math textbook…

Eventually, that curiosity has died. It doesn’t have to be that way. I have been training my curiosity and exploration. This year, I immersed myself in the STEM field, looking into space technologies: solar energy in space, our space debris problem, rocket theory. I’m currently looking at how a microgravity environment would influence physical, chemical, and biological systems.

I like to think of art as chemistry, where I play with different mediums to see how they react with each other.

You’d probably catch me at a debate competition on the weekends, debating politics, arts, sports, and international relations.

Brief Overview

Wattpad Firechat

On Feb 27, I will be attending a firechat at Wattpad to talk about my expereinces, specifically about the book I wrote. I wrote a fanfiction novel with 27 chapters in grade 8: Dream by Christina Wang.

A dive into the space debris problem

I wrote an article on our space debris problem, and recentaly gave a presentation at the TKS space.

Launched my Etsy shop!

Scroll down to see some art. It's pretty clear that I love experimenting, and making new artworks. Now you have the chance to have my art in our house or office. The Koi Fish skirt is my personal favourite iteam on the shop.

Eliminating space debris with ion beams
by tina Wang  |  16 Feb 2020

Out in outer space, we have a lot of junk. The Low Earth Orbit (LEO) is littered with dead satellites, used rocket stages, and even particles from the collision of other debris. Our space junk problem?? It’s not looking too great. There are fruit flies buzzing around the trash, and it’s starting to stink.

GMOS bringforth an agricultural revolution

Once the Neolithic people began cultivating their own plants, breeding domestic animals…We were screwed. Farming aided permanent settlement and exponentially grew populations, which brew the development of civilizations. As with civilization, diseases became easier to spread, and the gap between different social classes grew as the elite became pampered, while farmers were exploited...

Launcing solar farms into space!
by tina Wang  |  31 Oct 2019

Climate change is a constant battle of achieving environmental sustainability in an economy that relies on consumerism. Protests after protests, we hear that we can solve the crisis through banning sing-use plastics, or stopping the production of oil, searching for a solution. hm, that doesn’t seem to be working, or at least, not fast and significant enough.

There has to be another way. What if that solution was building a solar farm in space?
